Murrieta Valley Adult School (MVAS) and Community Education was established in 1996 to serve the needs of the adult population along with students kindergarten through 12th grade in the City of Murrieta and surrounding communities. Currently, Murrieta Valley Adult School serves approximately 1000+ students each year. MVAS offers a wide variety of classes at several locations throughout the City of Murrieta. MVAS programs include high school diploma, GED preparation, English as a Second Language (ESL), vocational education programs, older adult classes, basic skills instruction (ABE), enrichment classes for kindergarten through 12th grade and independent study (for high school diploma courses). The staff of Murrieta Valley Adult School is characterized by a balance of experiences, backgrounds, and interests. Our Mission is to "equip students for life-long learning through lessons in academics, accountability, attitudes, and ethics that will facilitate the transition to a successful future." We want to provide quality educational opportunities and services to all individuals in our community. MVAS is committed to moving towards becoming a Professional Learning Community (PLC), which will provide staff, students and the community the opportunities to collaborate as teams and help MVAS move forward as a school of excellence.
