Our career training programs need to prepare students for the workforce, and as such, the path from the classroom to the career needs to be clearly illuminated. Our career training programs should prepare students to get a job rather than just to develop workplace skills at a general level.
We like to see fresh ideas. Obviously, we cannot develop a title that is already in our catalog. So please do a little research before you submit your application. Take a look at our programs wanted page to get a good idea of the types of programs we're interested in developing at this time. Then, explore our catalog to get a good feel for what we do offer and to make sure you aren't proposing to develop and teach a program we already have.
And finally, please make sure that you are submitting a program that will appeal to adults who are looking for career training. Although we work with major colleges and universities, it is important to note that we do not target college students seeking credit programs. We service the noncredit market.
We have served more students for a longer period of time than anybody in the online education industry. We have developed time-tested and wildly successful online teaching methodologies that many in our industry have not yet discovered. Before we provide you with any training, we will ask you to sign a binding confidentiality agreement. The document provides us with your written guarantee that you will not disclose our secrets to anyone else or use those secrets to compete unfairly against us.
The ed2go network is primarily made up of colleges and universities. Our partners will want reassurance that you believe strongly in the value of higher education and/or licensure. As such, we prefer to hear from applicants who both made and kept the commitment to earn a college degree or any relevant certifications.
Your success with any publisher depends on your ability to adapt to that publisher's style. We're not willing to stray from our winning format. We're looking for developers and instructors who can create programs that are consistent with our other programs in tone, style, and length.
Your program should be complete, well-researched, and well-written on its own. But we like to augment instructor curriculum with popular and well-written textbooks students can hold onto long after they’ve completed their work in the online classroom.
One of the most critical aspects of our successful programs is that they give students ample opportunities to do the very things they learn about in class. Internships, externships, and simulations provide students with real-world connections that make the prospective career seem even more immediate and attractive.
Once you set a deadline for delivery of your program, we will hold you to that date. We like to meet program developers who are organized and considerate of others’ time.
We will be going over each and every document you submit to us very carefully, and we may return some of your lessons to you with corrections and suggestions. We like to work with developers who see the lessons they write as unfinished products, and who rely on our informed opinions to help them build a better program. We will also ask you to make relevant updates to the content once it is online. In this fast-paced and increasingly technologically oriented world, we find that information can change quickly, and we need to make updates to keep our content fresh.
All of our programs are instructor-moderated. This means that we will require you to spend time every week interacting with your students and potentially improving your program material. We have found a direct correlation between the time an instructor spends in his or her classroom and the level of student satisfaction with the program. This satisfaction usually translates into good word of mouth and soaring enrollments.
We’re only able to work with people who own the rights to the content they’d like to develop. If you’re interested in developing a career training program with us, we ask that you only bring us content you can work with free and clear.
We have two development channels for new programs. In the first track, we resell content that’s already developed. Let say, for example, that you made an online program that provides career training, and you host it and administer it in your own learning management system. But maybe you want to reach more people through our network and reputation for delivering exceptional career training programs. Then you’d want to be a reseller. We can only accept a limited number of reseller programs every year and many people complete applications for these spots. We have high content and delivery standards that we’ll need to ask you to meet if you’re interested in delivering your program through our network.
On the other hand, let’s say you currently have an idea for a career training program, a textbook you’ve written, or a program you currently offer on-ground or through distance education. You haven’t developed anything online yet, but you’d like to do it with our help and editorial guidance. In that case, codevelopment is for you. In this arrangement, we work with you to develop your idea and material into a career training program. We pair our top-notch editorial and graphic talent with your subject matter expertise to create a winning program.
Because we’ll work with you to create your online content, we’ll walk you through our content and delivery standards and help you develop a program that’s poised for success in our network.
We will use the information you enter on this form solely to determine your eligibility to join our network. We will not share any of the information you provide with any other party.
